Welcome to the first installment of Propaganda3′s, Election Site Rumble. A review of the sites behind the candidates in the hottest elections. We’re not looking at the politics, personalities, or views of the candidates, just the mostly terrible digital offerings that they believe will assist in their elevation to Washington insider. First up, the Alabama 2nd Congressional district, which pits incumbent Bobby Bright against Martha Roby.
We’ll begin with incumbent, Bobby Bright. We’re going out on a thin limb and guessing that Mr. Bright’s budget line for this web gem equalled what the high school son of a neighbor charged. Really just a list of sponsored links, it provides no image, issues stances, or information about the candidate at all. Perchance this is a subtle example of,’ lean government’. This would be a tremendous site for plumber recommendations.
Next, the opponent, Martha Roby. First impressions include, that’s a titanic image of you, you’re into facebook, and you need money. Nice job on the newsfeed at the bottom, but how about an update? If you’re running for office, you may want to keep the feed more current. Eleven months old hints that you aren’t doing squat or don’t follow-up.
In summary, both candidates need some professional help on the digital component of their candidacy. It’s 2012 folks, digital matters, or are you not-so-subtly suggesting that your constituents don’t interweb?
thanks for the sweet image
